Male DOB 10-21-63 Muncie IN
I was born October 21, 1963 at Ball Hospital in Muncie IN. I am searching for any information regarding my birthparents. My adoptive parents were told my birthparents were both professors at Ball State. I recently found out I am bi-racial, although I suspected most of my life. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Yes, my birth certificate and the health department agree on the date. The only other information I can add is that my birth mother was 22yo at the time and listed her race as caucasion. I know no other information about my birth father. I hope this helps. Shawn

possible starting point
Shawn,
did you know that you can go to the Ball State University web site and click on Alumni (list on the left) then there is a link for request for information. I would just ask them how you could obtain a yearbook copy for 1963 for a family member. They may tell you what libriaries in the area keep one on file. I would not tell them the reason you want to see a copy, because of the univeristy's privacy laws they would not assit you. Once you see the yearbook write down all of the faucalty names and through process of elimination you should be about to narrow down your birthmom since you have her approximate age. Do not be surprised, however, if you find out that either your birthmother or birthfather were actually a student at the time. Student/professor relationship. This would be cause for secrectiveness and or adoption option. Best of luck in you search. Thought this might be a way to start. Kelley Adoptee reunited~search volunteer |

Ball State Year Book
Kelley, Thanks for the suggestion. As a young adult I spent hours at the Ball State Library looking at old faculty photos. Recently we bought a Ball State yearbook from 1963 on Ebay. No one looked familiar, but i did find two of my high school teachers! Best Regards, Shawn
