my dad was born 6-26-45 (we think) and adopted at age 3 by a very loving couple. he always knew he was adopted but never pursued the family. now both his adopted parents have past. father 1989 and mother feb this year. we would like to try to find his family now to finish the puzzle. so many questions are unanswered because grandma wouldn't give very much information. he was adopted at the courthouse in goshen indiana. his case workers name was Ms. Kanouse. there may have been siblings also adopted but don't know for sure. anyone with info please let us know.

hi i got your e-mail, i also sent you one. has your dad requested his non identifying info? if not i will tell you what he needs to do if he is registered (with reunion registry)and mom is if they are a match we should be notified (i think).

i'm glad you contacted mary, sorry i haven't responded sooner, my computor is on the blink i have to replace my hard drive, so if you don't hear from me in a while that is the reason.
i guess now it's just a waiting proccess. i know it gets frustrating but hang in there. we are all here for you and will help you.
this forum helped me so much. people are so good at answering questions and giving support. i would be lost without this forum.
my moms a parents have a bio son and he found some papers and sent them to mom she is going to the post office to get them today. hoping there may be adotion info in them! i will let you know. keep in touch about your dads info.

Hi I saw your message and the date is so close to a brother I'm tring to find and he had another brother given up. His name was Henry Allen Birth born June 2,1945 but given up june of 1951 and his 6month old brother Thomas Birth was also given up here in Indiana. I thought it was here in Indianapolis but it could have been anywhere in Indiana.

I'm also searching for my Dad's birth family. Him and his adopted parents are all deceased and I can't get any information because I am not the adoptee. His birth date is Feb 9, 1946, Carlisle, IN. Any suggestions on where I can search will be very much appreciated.
