New and would like some information

Hi all,
I am an NRI living in toronto, Canada and we are considering adoption after three years of frustration with Infertility and miscarriages. We had our initial consult with our agency in Toronto and we were told about two orphanages ' Preet mandir' and 'Bal Vikas'. Can anyone give me some information regarding the two orphanges, care given to the children, how the place is maintained, How easy is it to get a very young baby girl. We would like to have her as early as possible around 6 months at least.
Do you think this is possible?
Thank you all
Sandy

Hi, Sandy, I do think that it is possible for you to have a good adoption experience working with either of these children's homes. Is your Toronto agency providing international placement services, or just doing the homestudy and post-placement work? If you are looking for a good international placement agency working with both of these homes, I know that Special Additions, Inc. out of Stilwell, KS does. I'm sure there are other agencies working with either of these homes, but you might be able to get information about the quality of the care provided to the children by contacting Special Additions. Their website is www.specialad.org. I will let you know that it is becoming unusual for non-NRI families (families where neither parent is of Indian descent) to have an infant placed as young as 6 months; however, I can tell you that our girls were placed one at 8 months and one at 10 months, and they've done very well. Good luck.

Thank you Ann,

I hope as NRIs (both husband and I are indian) we will get a baby girl as young as 6 months. The agency I am referring to does the whole process , also since we live in toronto, canada
it will probably be more convenient going thru them. Thank you for the information about the other agency.

I would love to see some pictures of your children!!!

Sandy
