My wife and I recently adopted a 16-year old girl from India,

via the midwest, where her first adoption ended in disruption

after 7 years. We live in Seattle and are a 'mixed' couple -

I'm from India, and my wife is American. Our daughter is our

first child ever, and so far (5 months in) it's been an

exhilarating and exhausting, delightful and difficult

experience for all of us. We're hooked into the WACAP support

groups and have heard about SARI, who we're looking forward

to contacting. We'd like to meet people in similar situations.

Our daughter is quite the Americam but revels in all things

Indian. She's new in Seattle, and meeting up with similar

kids might help her lay some roots down in this area as well

as give her valuable points of reference for her own

experiences. Besides, we'd love to meet, share, gab,
