Insurance after bringing baby to the US

Apparently, because we work for an international organization our insurance company doesnt need to meet federal laws in this regard and we now have to quickly buy insurance for our baby. Has anyone run into this situation before? If so, any ideas on insurance companies that may have some experience with this type of a situation? Txs PS
