I have been working with CHSM to adopt from IHM in Calcutta. It has been a disappointment. I am not saying that with another agency or another program it would be going more smoothly. I advise you to be as assertive as you can. Call Meera at least every other week for updates. She has a one year old son, so try to call her at CHSM. If you need her home number, email me. Do not assume that once you get your part of the dossier in that it will be forwarded. Call Meera and ask her for verification. (I don't know what that would be, maybe the reciept from certified mail?) Ask for clarification on all the information that is contradictory. In the IMH program there is a great deal of contradictory information which results in confusion. I have been working with CHSM for 15 months and have no site of a referral yet. Had I not assumed that everyone was doing there job and called and checked, I would have a baby now. Good Luck!
