Language adjustment
I would like advice on helping a 3 1/2 year old adjust to life in the States when she speaks only Hindi. I have been meeting with a tutor to learn basic words but still feel incompetent. Anyone else experience this situation and how did you handle it? Am I worrying for nothing?

I'm sure if you are learning some Hindi, the transition will be fairly smooth as far as language. You might consider joining OLDER-CHILD as that list is made up of mostly of families who've adopted older children from India. http://www.ichild.org/lists.htm Hope this was of some help, beth ichild
