Does anyone know the meaning of the name Sarat or how it is correctly pronounced?

Thank you!!! I have found Sarat means a sage, but still unsure of how to correctly pronounce it. Is the "t" more silent? We have been saying it more like, Saaa-rot. Any correction would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks for your reply. I found it on one web site and it said Sarat means "Sage". Would it still be pronounced the same?
