Adoption in India
I have been told that there is an easier way out for couples who are serious about adopting in India and who want to avoid red-tape which is generally associated with the adoption process. I understand that sometimes mothers give birth to babies but do not want to keep the baby for her own reasons. Hospitals in such cases, if they are aware of any couple who wants to adopt the kid, bring the matter to the attention of such a couple. If the couple wants to adopt the child, then the hospital writes the name of the adoptive couple on the birth certificate of the child.
Has someone else also come across such incident? If so, what are the pitfalls involved, if any? |

What you are discussing is illegal and we do not allow for unethical or illegal "how to" processes to be discussed.
Whether we like the "red tape" or not, the laws of each country must be adhered to. While some procedures may be time consuming or even unnecessary, many are in place to prevent the very thing you are considering. It's things like this that drive up the cost, close down international adoption, and worse, cause corruption, kidnappings and even murders of poor mothers to get to the babies. This thread is closed for further discussion.
