Re: Travel?

When traveling in India, never drink the water...or have anything to do with the water. Always use bottle water and check to be sure the seal isn't broken. Deli belly is no fun... Also, pack things in ziplocks instead of regular packaging. This keeps things more compact. You can get pleanty of diapers, formula etc when you are in India. It's readily available, esp. in the cities. Carry lots of wipes...and use them! Keep important docs attached to YOU all the time. If you are adopting a baby, plan on using a snugglie or sling as oposed to a stroller. If you want to pack light, pack just a few clothes for yourself and then buy samar kameezes when you get there. Women should dress very modestly with either Indian sari's, samar Kameezes, or long skirts and blouses. Don't plan on wearing shorts. Short sleeves are fine, but not tank type tops. Men should plan on wearing long pants. Contact your agency for more info. Happy trails!
