Questions about process
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone had located a child through an orphanage or friend in India, and then adopted said child through a licensed for India agency? If so would you mind private messaging me? Are there certain agencies that deal with certain orphanages over there? Thanks, Sarah k

Remember that not all children in Indian orphanages are eligible for adoption. So if you were to fall in love with a child in an Indian orphanage, and try to adopt him/her, you might find yourself heartbroken to learn that he/she either did not meet India's requirements for international adoption or the U.S. requirements for an adoption visa.
Yes, certain agencies work with certain orphanages, and you certainly could identify an agency working in a particular part of India. Sharon
