Hello! The India program is stable. They are not affected by the Hague hoopla, so they don't expect any slowdowns. The reason that agencies don't push the India program is that the process works MUCH faster for NRI's (Non-resident Indians). As a single woman who is not Indian, you wouldn't qualify for an infant, the youngest child you could get would be around 14 months old at time of entry into the US. Have you looked into Vietnam?

Questions re. India Program?
Hi everyone,
I'm waiting on the I-171H to adopt from Guatemala but that program is getting increasingly unstable so I'm looking around for alternatives. Is the India program stable? I know that lots of the agencies I looked at had India program although the one I signed with does not. But the agencies didn't seem to push the program which led me to believe that it wasn't a good program. I'm single and in my late 30's. I'm not of Indian descent. The Guatemala program is pretty quick so it would be a shock to switch to a program with a longer wait but I'd be willing to do it to get more stability. Would India be a good program for someone like me?
