Hello Everyone,

I have several Questions regarding adoption from India.
First Let me start by saying that I am Canadian (born and raised). However, my husband is of indian descent (but does have Canadian Citizenship for over 10 years), his great grandparents (on both sides) were born and lived in northern India before imigrating to Guyana. My husband is also Hindu and belonging to the brahmin caste. We have experienced fertility problems and knew that we would always want a large family (he has 2 sisters and 1 brother; i have 3 brothers and 1 sister) due to his ancestry being Indian, does this mean that we would qualify as NRI? and if so, generally what is the adoption procedure and/or requirements for adopting a child from India? How common is it to find siblings and what are their ages? I am aware that the United States Procedure will be different then the Canadian one, however if anyone could tell me a basic guideline or any online resources to find out information, it would be greatly appreciated.
