Does anyone know exactly how long it takes to be issued NOC's if you are adopting from Dehli? Also what is the average waiting time does it take for the court process there...or does it vary? Thanks for all of your help.

It is difficult to predict how long it takes to get your NOC in Delhi. According to the CARA website, it is 10-15 days if all paperwork is in order. According to our social worker, it is taking aprox 6 weeks for NRIs and up to 3-4 months for non-NRI. For us, it took about 10 days! But, even though the NOC came fast, high court processing will be slow because the courts are closed for June.

I think there are absolutely no guarantees; it depends on your agency, their contact in India, and a host of other factors we cannot begin to imagine. Ours took about 1 month, maybe 1 1/2 (paperwork arrived in India in Dec., NOC was Jan.) and we had guardianship about 1 month after that, then traveled just this mid-March. Hope this helps!
