  • It does happen, but depending on the jurisdiction if it is allowed or not. You would have to check with your state. The day we adopted our sons, there was a 30something year old woman being adopted by a father in court with us. MOST jurisdictions require that the adoptive parents had a "parental like" relationship with the adult as a child.

  • It's important for girls to get the information from the right place, or they will be getting info from their friends (or worse, their boyfriends!) I preface every conversation with "I don't think you are ready for sex, and if it was my decision you would wait until you were in an adult, loving, long term relationship. But there will be a time when you will need to make these decisions for...

  • YAY!!! I'm glad you had a good visit. I am a little bit dreading the orphanage visits myself. Mainly because I know its going to be heart wrenching to have to leave her there on our first 2 trips. ...and not being able to save them all is going to make it hard as well. I get a little emotional about stuff like that, so I'm really hoping I'm not a mess while there.

  • How do I tell my boyfriend?
  • by JAMLRC Last comment: Today at 04:09 AM
  • I had 3 children from a previous marriage that turned abusive. I was 21 when my youngest was born. By the time I was 22 I had to put all three of my children up for adoption for their safety. I was too young and too immature to raise them on my own and my ex was psychotic. Now I am almost 28 and I have gone back to college and I graduate next year. I have a new boyfriend and we have been dating...

  • Yes, they have a committee and we've asked that they reconsider their decision and gave them a lengthy letter as to why we believe they retain her, but they have not changed their decision and their response was that due to all the changes Ariana has expirienced this past year, they believe it would be in her benefit to pass her on and that it would do more harm than good to retain her. There are...

  • I hear you. My son had pneumonia 3 years ago, and then he has asthma on top of it. For three days he was sick and super aggressive and stupid me didn't realize it was air hunger from the pneumonia. Then a doctor sent us home instead of to the ER. That was a bad mistake. When I returned to the docor hte next day we got reamed out for waiting all night before going to the ER. Anyhow, I still...
