Hi everyone. I was surprised to see a thread for Independence. Didn't know we were such the metropolis. Who else is here in the area (Independence, Lees Summit, Blues Springs, Liberty, etc).

My name is Susan and I live in Independence. I am a single mom in the process of adopting my daughter from Guatemala. Hoping to have her home very soon.

Hi Susan
My wife and I live in Independence. We are adopting a girl from Guatemala too. Looking at your time line, we entered PGN about the same time. We had a KO in Dec., but hopefully we are back on track.

Hi!

I'm Julie - my DH and I adopted Erika from Guatemala last year - she came home in July, and we are now starting a second adoption! We live in Lee's Summit (very northern part - almost in Independence).

Hi Everyone! My husband and I live just south of Lee's Summit. We have 4 bio children (ages 2- 12) and are adopting 2 little girls (5 months and almost 5 years) from Guatemala. We are currently in PGN and hope to bring them home in March or April.

Wow! There are quite a few of us. This is great. Maybe in the Spring or summer we can plan a playdate at a park or Adventure Oasis or something.

We just got out of PGN this past week so hoping to have my DD home by the end of March at the latest.

Hello - we live in Raymore. Looking at American Adoptions in KC and Gift of Hope in Columbia. has anyone had any expereinces with either of these?
