Special needs child in Kenya

Dear Friend,

Your best source of information is the American Consulate in Kenya. According to my information, if your daughter is living with you and has two living parents, she does not qualify for a US orphan visa. Instead, she might qualify for a medical visa--similar to a temporary visitor's visa. The American couple you mention can sponsor her during her treatment with the understanding that she will return to your family.

My best wishes in your search to help your child.
