Australian Adoption
We know a 21 year old girl living in US and is here on work visa. It expires in 30 days. She is pregnant by her American boyfriend and they want to put the child up for adoption. She wants to go home to Melbourne to live with her parents and get the free medical benefits she has over there while continiung to work. She has asked my husband and me if we would be interested in adopting her child since she has known us for sometime and knows we are looking at adoption and/or surrogacy. We have completed a home study recently but do can't seem to find info on adopting from Australia on any websites.
Is there any legal or Intl adoption problems that you are aware of?
