Smile Birth certificate

Hello! and help! I need a birth certificate for my 9 year old daughter. She was adopted from India and her adoption was finalized in 2003. I have all the documentation I need to prove she is our legal daughter in the State of MA. What I don't have is a birth certificate. Once we obtain a legal birth certificate for her, I'll be able to get a US passport for her and we can travel overseas next year. Boy, I sure hope this problem can be solved. I don't want to walk around with her legal Indian "Abandonment Papers". Any suggestions? June in Boston
