Smile Recommendations for Homestudy, Agency, Anything, in STL metro area of IL!

Hi All!

I am new to the group, and was hoping that someone could share their experience with adopting in IL - metro STL area. We are looking into domestic adoption, and would appreciate and advice or recommendations anyone can give us. Including, how they chose between an agency and independent. Please PM me. Thanks all!

I am also in the St. Louis metro area and would love the same information. My wife and I decided about 9 months ago that we were going to adopt. In that time, we've looked at both domestic and international adoption. We both feel overwhelmed!!!

We have been looking at international adoption because were were told that it's easier and that there's less "red tape". However, we're looking at children ages 3-6 and I told my wife that there are many children here in the US that also need loving families.

Is the DCFS as bad as I've heard? I've love to hear some stories and recommendations based on others experiences.

We are in your area and adopted twice locally. I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have, just send me a private message with your e-mail.
