question?
Does anyone know if you can get non-identifying information on a person adopted in Illinois, if there was no adoption agency involved? I know my friend had a private adoption through a lawyer. What are my options-- should I try to contact that lawyer? Would he have any information? This was 39 years ago. Not sure of what to do. Thanks, Sue

Have you noticed the postings by "thesearchguru"? You can find her on the member list or click on her profile after one of the many postings that she does often. She has posted "Resources for Searching in . ." by state. I'm sure you will find it helpful.
