the adoption was through the Catholic Social Services,
between Champaign/Peoria,ILL.

Then get in touch with Catholic Social Services and ask for the person who handles post adoption searches. They may have you call another office and keep passing you off - but stay with it until you can get someone who will help you. You should be able to get from them what is called non-id info. on him - which will be all the info. they have about him except his name, address, etc. Ask if they will do searches for you - be patient with them. Usually there is only one person doing this job and generally it's a part time job.

I'm very glad that you've had a HAPPY reunion !
I have 2 aunts that each have an adopted
daughter that they have guilted into NOT looking
for the birthmoms ! VERY SAD ! trying to pretend
'she' doesn't exist !
