Is there a DCFS office in Wheaton IL?

At the time of my adoption my aparents lived in Darien IL. I was adopted through DCFS and I am pretty sure my aparents said it was in Wheaton. Can anyone tell me if there is a DCFS office in Wheaton? I've tried to find a phone number for them, but can't locate one. I'd ask aparent again, but it's a touchy subject. Thanks!

It looks like the office for DuPage County (Which is where Wheaton is) is located in Aurora. You can contact them here: Aurora Region 8 Easteva Galena Boulrd, Suite 300 630-801-3400

Actually, the DuPage Field Office is in Glen Ellyn. The phone number is 630 790 6800. The Regional Office is the one Brandy referred to. Also, if you were adopted through DCFS, you're best bet is to contact the Midwest Adoption Center. I'll look up the number and edit this post with it. If you call DCFS, this is the center that they will refer you to.

It may have been located there at one time.. Wheaton is where the DuPage County courthouse is..

I would look to the refrences that are above this post..

Aurora is not in DuPage County though Glen Ellen is, the next town over..

Darien is pretty far from Wheaton.. wonder why they didnt handle it locally? Was that normal? DArien is in Lake county I think..

I lived in Aurora nine months ago, the DuPage County portion...Kane County (which is where most of Aurora is located) is about .25 miles west of Eola (running north and south) everything to th east of there is either Aurora or (once you are past Rt. 59) Naperville (with the exception of a VERY small portion close to Diehl).

Just wanted to point that out...that Aurora is actually located in two different counties

(I live in Dekalb county now)

DCFS contracts out their post adoption services to Midwest Adoption Center in Des Plaines Illinois. website is www.macadopt.org
