I see a lot of cute and interesting log in names on this forum. I was really curious what they stand for and how people came up with them. Are they nicknames and if so how did you get it? does it have a cute or funny story behind it? Some are obvious, some are not.

Mine is obviously just my birthname but nobody that knows me well actually calls me that. IT was shortened to just Lynn when I was born.


Anyone want to share how they came up with theirs? Just curious, thought it would be fun.

Mine isnt really cute or anything...and it really isnt a nick name...for me anyway.

My husband was in the Marine Corps for a number of years...and beause his VERY German last name is hard for most to say correctly, they just called him "Hagz" so when we married, I became Brandy Hagz or Mrs. Hagz by default. It just kinda stuck...so I use it on a number of forums as well as for an email address....

I've never really been good at making up the little *cutsie* names...so BrandyHagz works out great for me!

However, I may need to change the name now. If any one can come up with a good word to include these new initials, let me know!

Intertesting question . . . thought it myself, but never thought of actually posting the question.

Mine is nothing special . . . I just like dragonflies. I think it's cool how they can 'hover and just be quiet' ~ like I do on the forums sometimes ~ well most of the time anyway - LOL

echaos ~ I'm glad you posted, I wondered about your screen name many times and never knew quite how to pronounce it. This is great ~ I love how you came up with it. You've invited anyone to offer new names with the new letters . . . HA . . . this should be fun! Although, I might come up with some that I can only pass on through a 'private message' ~ lol

Don't know that my name is cute, but I like it, lol. I got it from one of my cats. When I got him as a baby one of my friends really wanted me to name (her) Cleopatra. So we did, then we took (her) to the vet to have her spayed and found out she was a he, lol. Another friend of my suggested we change it to Cleoptrick. The picture under my name is the cat Cleopatrick.

Echaos5, you are so cool! I have a house load of animals too, lol. We have Dakota and Nikita, the dogs. Pinky and Feddy, the fish. And Tasha, Kaylee, Riley, Crowley, Cleopatrick, Saucy, Jinx, Cory, Toto, Addie, and Calypso the cats. Think you can come up with a cool name with those initials LOL.

Shoshana is the name I had picked out for my daughter-to-be from Guatemala. Because of the turmoil in Guatemala, I've switched countries. I don't think I'll use Shoshana for my Russian daughter, it just doesn't seem to fit.

I was going to change my screen name, but decided to keep it since I do love the name Shoshana.

I'm thinking of Nadezhda - means hope in Russian. It's pronounced na DEE ez da & the nickname is Nadya!

That's a lovely name. I LOVE Russian names... Zoya, Natasha, Anastasia... I used to date a russian guy named Nikita, pronounced Nikito (of course, everybody called him Nick). I think Nadezhda is a gorgeous name.

Cleopatrick!

Great story about your name! We had a bunny named Peggy who became Pat after we discovered he was really a Patrick!!

I don't often meet people with more cats then we have. 11! Wow. I thought 7 was a lot. However we are soon to increase in numbers. Daisy is an abused stray we just adopted and she is now very obviously with kitten! Hopefully it's a small litter!

I pronounce echaos as E Chaos, since our household is generally in a state of chaos!

My user name is quite simple. "t" is the initial of my first name. "lee" is my middle name and 70 was the year I was born. A little boring I'm afraid LOL
The icon I have beside my name is a reminder of my angel boy.

Aspen is the name of my Timber Wolf and Hall is my last name.
I am a soul sister to my pet! I swear I we can talk to each other...the icon is just.....well, when I was little, I thought jessica Rabbit was SOOOO Beautiful, and I didn't have the patience to find a picture of Belle....who I think I must have been in another life...LOL maybe I'll keep looking and find her...and change it...
