in april 1994 i gave birth to a baby daughter and i was in a position where i felt i couldn't give my daughter a decent life. at least the start of her life. i happened to go through this with a friend roberta. she was 3 months farther than me. i was with her at the hospital when she had her baby girl. the nurses were very unfriendly and judgemental to her. within a half hour her sister called and already knew. she had indian blood and cannot legally give up a baby for adoption. so by going through that experience i had a chance to make the birth of my baby more private and to make sure her parents that i got to choose, to be at that hospital immediatly and since they lived in indiana and i lived in the desert deep in the heart of nevada. i had my daughter at 7 pm and they were there at midnight. my friends baby was alone for the first week. my mother and i chose to not see her because we would have kept her knowing there was no possible way to keep her. i found and chose the parents. they had been trying for years to have children and couldn't. i feel that i did the right thing.
