WELCOME TO THE SEARCH AND REUNION MESSAGE BOARD!
Information is available in many states that will help you with your search. Below are some services that are available in some states. Let me know what state you are searching in and I can give you offices and addresses that you can contact to get services that are available in your state of adoption. If you know what adoption agency handled your adoption contact them for information from your adoption file that will help you with your search. If you were a private adoption or do not know the name of the adoption agency contact the central governing agency for all adoptions in your state. INFORMATION THAT IS AVAILABLE IN SOME STATES: “Non-identifying information” is information from your adoption file about your birth parents. It generally includes ages, marital status, states of birth, education, religion, occupations and a physical description of your birth parents. “Mutual Consent Registry” is a registry where adoptees and birth parents can register the adoption information. If both parties register normally the agency responsible for the registry will notify both parties that consent has been given to contact each other. “Confidential Intermediary Service” is a service that some states provide that will search for the person that you are looking for. Since the state has a copy of your adoption file they will have the full names of the birth parents and their dates of birth. looking for 1/2 sister
I live in San Diego, CA. I am looking for my sister who was adopted. She was taken by CPS. It was a very hush-hush case from what I've heard. Do you know who I can contact to find out what adoption agency she was with?

Who are these search Angels?
I would love to know who these search angels are? I was adopted in Arizona and put a message on that board and I can't afford the fees of searching and I now live out of state. Is the non-id info really of much use? I haven't written for mine because again it's another cost and I am the mother now of 7 children. Any angels out there for me?

i have some information, name, general location and birthmother's age, but that is it. no one is helping me, i just stumbled on to this web site and i would like som help. i guess i just dont know how to find it. it was a private adoption, but my adoptive parents were hesitant to share any info, which i guess i respect and understand, so im left to my own resources, which up until now have proved to be fruitless. if you could give some direction mackie, i would be eternally greatful.
