Where do I go from here?
My mum was adopted and today we came back from the social worker. She was given her mothers name and where she was born and how old she was when her adoption was finalised. But that is all the info we have.
My mum is 61 and I'm her only child (im 20) and my mum is a recent widow. She wants to know where she came from and why she was adopted and meet her family. She didn't have a happy childhood or upbringing and I just want her to be happy and not to be lonely. I've done online searches but cant find any info out. There is nothing on her birth mum and there is no mention of her dad. We've applied for her birth certificate so should get that by next week. But we dont know where to go from here. All the sites charge money or want credit cards and we haven't got a card and cant afford it anyway. I'm thinking of getting a investigator but I would like to try and find out stuff first before we take that route. How did you all find your birth parents or family? Where do we go from here? Were from UK. |
