Born Lancaster Pennsylvannia, St. Joseph's Hospital. December 6 1950. Birth name Marie, half sister 6 years older. Parents married but father ran off. In foster care for 14 months. Could not be adopted until I was three. Could not locate father to sign papers. Grandmother was at final custody hearing. Adopted through Childrens Service's in Lancaster. I know nothing else. I am 53 now. My sister is probably 59 or 60. Mother was described as short and stocky. She worked as a laborer and father was described as olive skinned and worked as a salesman. This is the only history I have from the Chidren Services Agency.

Have you tried going through the agency through which you were adopted? Or if your state has one the state adoption record search agency. Some state have mutual consent registries - if both parties agree they will help with a contact.
