BF's family ISO boy born 43-46 Honolulu to Army Dad
My husband's brother, Calvin Bell, a Native American from Oregon was stationed in Honolulu in USArmy at Scofield Barracks some time approx 1944-1946. He had a baby (boy or girl?) by a young woman there -her first name may be been Belle? When discharged he came home to Oregon, was going to work and send for her, but before that could happen he was killed in a logging accident. His Mother may have communicated with her for awhile.
My husband was a young child at that time - anyone who had more details is now gone. The family would like to find their blood niece or nephew (cousin etc) and let him/her know them. It is reasonaable that Belle married and child was likely raised by a step-father. If anyone recognizes this story we would like to hear from you! |
