Hi! My name is Ginger Lewis, and this is my 3rd time trying to find a way to find my birth parents without empting my pockets. Im 41 and was adopted by a wonderful person. He was in the Air Force at the time of my adoption. All he was able to tell me was that my birth mother is/was from New York. Not a town or anything. But I know if I could get a hold of my birth records all the info will be in there.
I guess all I am asking is if there is anyone out there that can help me???????????

Hawaii has a registry and also an intermediary system where they will search for you. If your bparents cannot be located in 120 days your file will be turned over to you. Contact the Department of Human Services, Adoption Department at 808-548-2211

Thank you for the info. I will try this first. The last time I tried getting a hold of someone in Hawaii, they told me that it would cost me $350.00 plus for someone to look up my records. I hope this is easier.
