Wink Adoption agencies for Guatemala

Hello! My husband and I are beginning our adoption process. We are considering adopting an infant from Guatemala. Does anyone have an agency recommendation? We live in Dallas, TX and would like if the agency was in-state so we could visit the facility.
Since we are just getting started, I want to do as much research as possible. Can anyone recommend any good websites or books regarding international adoption?
Thanks so much!

Cool

Hi!

I have been researching now for about 3/4 months. I would be glad to share with you what I have found so far and other forums that have been helpful.

Hi,
I live out of state, but I used Gladney (Ft. Worth, TX) - contact me if you have any questions about them.
Book - Gladney required that I read How To Adopt Internationally - it was a good book that pulled many issues together - I learned a number of things even though I had adopted previously. I also went to the library and read everything I could get my hands on. Another resource was to subscribe to one of the magazines - I did for over a year before my first adoption and it gave me lots of insight into issues.

Gladney Agency

Thanks for your reply. Did you use the Gladney Agency for adoption in Guatemala? How quickly were you able to have your home study done as well as a child referral? Thanks so much for all your information.
