I got the call today from INS!!!! We were processed today and will receive our 171 in the next few days! I cannot believe it!! I got Paula's care package off today too! I also got the fees off to agency for consulate and for translation! We are MOVING!!!!! I think I will just cry!

Dee Dee,
That is wonderful news!!! Do you have any advice for those of us who are entering the process and have to use the Atlanta INS office? My husband and I live in SC and we have submitted our application to Greer, SC and had our fingerprints done in Charlotte, NC on Dec 20th. Our Home Study is being completed, then it is my understanding it has to be submitted to the Atlanta office-ugh! I wish we could go to a different office! Any words of wisdom? When should we start calling? I wish there were something we could do on the front end to speed things up-but there doesn't seem like there is. Did your senator help in any way? Thanks for your advice, we appreciate it! And any advice anyone else has out there!

We were in for 12 weeks! I called on Dec 9 at 6 weeks and was told 2 more weeks. 2 weeks passed and nothing. I left messages on voice mail everyday. Also left voice messages on directors voice mail. I left a voice mail yesterday and they called back and said it was approved yesterday and we should get it in mail in a few days. I did contact both our senators in the last two weeks. I don't know if they had anything to do with it or not or if it was just our turn! I wouldn't call until 6 weeks went by. That seems to be the normal times for them.
