Greetings from scenic Gaithersburg...

I adopted from China, not Guatemala, but I'd be delighted to talk to fellow Marylanders.

Glad to meet you!

We live off of 355, near Shady Grove Road, in a small cluster of houses and townhomes built about ten years ago.

We moved to Gaithersburg from Washington, DC, where we lived in a condo, a little over two years ago. Our new neighborhood is very Asian, which is a "plus" for us, since Becca is Chinese. Also a "plus" is the fact that we now live about two blocks from one of the families in our China travel group. Moreover, it was wonderful to find a big, fairly new house in our price range, as we had been living in pretty cramped quarters.

All in all, we find Gaithersburg very kid-friendly and dog-friendly. It is also very convenient to almost everywhere; I used to commute to downtown DC, though I am no longer working there. Becca and I have now been joined by a woolly Airedale girl who is a "regular" at the dog park near the Muddy Branch Giant. We've tried the dog parks in Germantown, but don't like them as much.
