Poor little guy had a rough day! I am surprised they told you who the biter was but at this age they might have figured your son would tell you anyway. John was bit by the same kid 3 times a few years ago and it really bugged me. Once - it happens but 3 times means they should be watching the child more closely. And they did and the biting stopped.
I think I would have wanted them to call me and let me know about the bang to the head though.

I would have wanted to know about that head bash, but the biting--we know that little kids don't have the language or knowledge of how to handle their frustrations, and often they hit, kick, shove, etc., to get what they want or let out anger. They also bite. To them, it's really no different than any other physically aggressive way of showing that they are hacked off. It's adults who think it's awful!
