Totally OT - HOUSE SOLD!!!
Our house has been on the market for 2 years and 2 months and we had 2 offers this week!!! We accepted one today!! I can finally breathe! Closing is Nov 20. Keep your fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly!

How wonderful. Congratulations! We sold our house last year. It wasn't on the market as nearly as long as yours, but it was one of the most stressful times in our lives.

Congrats! Mine just closed several weeks ago after 15 months on the market. I can't even share the hit I took on the price but it's nice to have it sold!!

Woohoo!!!! Congratulations! We tried to sell our house for 21 months before we finally closed on it this past June. Took a beating and almost lost it to foreclosure (we moved out of state for DH's job and had to rent a house to live in while still trying to make the payments on the other one).
What a relief for you! Praying all goes smoothly and you close without a hitch!

I am right there with you on taking a hit. We had to drop the price (over the course of the 2 years) by $60k before it sold. We are selling it for less than what we paid for it 5 years ago  . But... at least it's (almost) done. We moved 250 miles away from it in Aug '07 and are staying with my parents until it sold and then we are going to build. I can't wait to have my own home again!
