Guatemalan Dinner last night
Hello everyone!
I know I have been MIA forever...sorry things have been good busy super busy! Emma's foster mom is staying with us for a few months. It is a LONG story but one we are so thankful and blessed to be living. Last night, Astrid made a traditional Guatemalan dinner that was great. I told her I would like to get many of her recipes to compile for Emma (and of course all of you too)! This is such a great opportunity to infuse Guatemala here in our home in Ohio! If you would be interested, I am willing to share! As we experience more authentic things, I will be happy to share. I hope each of you and your families are doing well! ((((HUGS))) Amy

Lawyer promised to reform, got through family court, birth mom disappeared and more lies... Lawyer fired and new one hired. Abandonment granted Jan 30 '08.  Received abandonment decree March 18 '08 Praise the Lord!Oct '09 Adoption approved by family court!   DOB Jan 2 '06 in our arms Jan 3 '06Adoption complete April '07

I vote for YES! Please share. We already have the book "False Tongues and Sunday Bread" and go to a couple of restaurants that serve a little Guatemalan food, but the more recipes the better.
How wonderful that your child's foster mom is able to spend time with you here in the U.S. We try to stay in touch with Abraham's foster family. They are struggling with a few things right now with the drought, economy, and some medical stuff going on. We've often wondered how Abe would react to being close with them again. How has the atmosphere been in your household? How has Emma react to seeing them again?

I would be interested as well. Are you going to post it here or do we have to pm you? Thank you and thank your fostermother for sharing these recipes. What area is she from? What a wonderful blessing to have the person who took care of your child before you did home with you. I am sure that it will be a wonderful memory for you both with so much to share.
