We are adopting again!!
I have been a member of this forum for longer than I can remember. It has been a part of my daily life for over 8 years now (can it be that long???).
I have been a waiting parent, a forum hostess, and someone who just stuck around because my adoption from Guatemala was probably the greatest thing ever to happen in our lives. So...long story short...my hubby comes to me at the beginning of the summer and tells me he wants to adopt again. I was SHOCKED.  We started our home study in August. It should be done next week. We are doing a domestic adoption and we were open to any race. We did specify gender...hubby has his heart set on another little girl  So...here we are a week before our home study is complete and we match with two different expectant mothers in two days. We of course went with the first mother who chose us, even though both situations would have been good. The baby is due in mid November. I am so unprepared. We gave away everything that belonged to Bella with the exception of her crib (I was saving it for my grandchildren...haha) I have 6 weeks to get a nursery together, get things settled at school so I can take off 8 weeks, and get my kiddo prepared for a baby. She is very enthusiastic about the idea of a little sister, but I know she has no clue what a baby is going to be like. Anyway...I wanted to share with all of my Guatemala Family friends...you guys have always been so great to me!!
