I am searching for a Christening gown/dress for my 2 year old. Not having much luck
I am finding beautful dresses but they are really expensive. Hoping someone has been in the same boat and has found a dress/gown for a reasonable price.

You might also check consignment shops in your area- especially more upscale areas. They may have some "flower girl" dresses that might be perfect christening dresses.

Have you tried Sears website or catalogue? I bought my wedding dress through the Sears website and had so many people ask where I bought such a beautiful dress and all were absolutley stunned...try checking out the different department stores online catalogues as they have items that aren't carried in most stores due to low volume of sales.

JCPenney usually has a good selection (in store or catalog) spanning from infant to boys/girls sizes.

I've never done ebay either...

Try Strasburg... I know they have a website, but are also in outlet malls. they have some great things and are fairly reasonably priced.

Are there other families in your local adoption support group who might have had their children christened? You might be able to borrow or buy a gown from them?

Also, check with families in your church. While most will have "baby" gowns, you might find a family who had an older child christened.

On the upper right side of the page when you are viewing the item you will see the seller's Ebay name and beside that in parantheses a number which is the number of feedback ratings they have. You can click on it and read them. And then next to that a percentage, which is their percentage of positive feedback. That particular person doesn't have 100 percent, but given that number of transactions they have had, I would expect there to be a few people not happy for one reason or another. They look like a good bet to me.

I would also add that the percentage might aslo be refelctive of shoppers lik eme who have been uable to provide feedback in a timely manner and when I have gone to provide feedback, I have been told that the link does nto work. So while I have had good experiences on ebay, the sellers don't know it since I am slow to try to add my feedback.

I had to get a 3T for Jess when she came home - I googled toddler baptism Christening gowns and found a few that were reasonable. Unfortunately I can not for the life of me remember where I ordered it from!!!!
