I always loved Pin the Nose on the Jack-o-lantern. Just make a large jack-o-lantern out of orange poster board. Draw on the eyes and mouth. Then give each child a triangular nose shape with their name written on it. Blindfold them, and spin them around 3 times, and then let them place the nose on the jack-o-lantern. Lots of fun.
We also do 'hot pumpkin'. Just like hot potato, but with a small pumpkin. Play music and when it stops whoever is holding the pumpkin is out. I always give the children a treat when they get out, so they don't get upset. The last child with the pumpkin wins a prize.

I have also bought them small pumpkins and let them decorate them with black crayons. Now you can also buy stick on fun foam, so you can cut out shapes for them to stick onto the pumkin to make faces. Chalk on black construction paper is fun, they can make spiderwebs. Also you can draw a pumpkin on a box and cut out holes for the eyes and nose and mouth and let them toss beanbags into it. You can also do a thing where you get lollypops, the round ones like tootsie pops, and put a kleenex over them and use a marker to make eyes and then tie a string around and you have ghosts. Color the very end of the lollypops in different colors and poke them into a cardboard box. Then you can play different games, either letting them pick a prize based on the color on thier lollypop stick or you can do a memory type game where they take turns pulling two out and trying to find matching colors. When they get a match they get to keep the lollypops and they are out, so the others can keep playing till they get a match.
