OT My son 19 called me mama for the first time!
Some might have read the post about DS 19 wanting to change his name to our surname and be adopted. He moved with us last Feb. and is the older bother of one of my DD, whom I adopted at 4 months old. Last night he called me mama over and over. What a flood of emotions!. I just need to share. Sofar he has only done so in private and is working on calling DH papa but has not yet but tells me he wants too. I feel so blessed. Our DD 11 who came home July of this year has been calling us mama and papa too. I am one happy mama and feel so privilidged and loved. Anna

Feb. 1, 2007 - this is really getting old!! 3rd visit trip Feb. 1-4th Feb. 21st and we still don't know what KO#2 is even for?!?!?!? Guess it wasn't a KO after all!!!!!! Feb. 22 OUT OF PGN!!!!!!!! March 26th 2007 leaving for extended pick up trip! March 29th - Happy 1st Birthday Kate!!  Home forever on April 27th!!!!!!!!!!!!! Praise God!!!

LOL Me neither really as I got plenty of short comings and ofcourse since he lives with us he knows them!
Pretty sureal having an adult choose you as parents. He started calling DH papa too today. He loves it as do we. The other children are happy and are welcoming him. It all will not change that much and at the same time it does. Papers are not done yet and I have no idea how possible it is but we have all adopted each other and our hearts know that he is part of our family and we will do whatever papers we can get done. Hopefully an adult adoption and else atleast a name change with a home adoption ceremony. Thanks for all the warm wishes. I asked DS if he felt different and he said "Yes!" He felt like a (family name) and enjoys calling us mama and papa and loves us. Wow! DS is left back in picture. In the picture are also our younger son and daughter adopted from the same extended family. Anna Quote:
