Tati has always "loved" bugs but they were mostly the pretend kind. you know, soft and fuzzy and cute ...well these are the critters she found in our back yard this week A frog, praying mantis, caterpillar and a snake! I am trying not to let her see my um..well... fear of these creatures but I certainly hope she outgrows her fascination with the snakes ! Oh, and just so you know she isn't a total tomboy.... a pic of her halloween costume she already has for this year (if it lasts that long, I can barely get her out of it!) Of course to her it is just another bug since it has wings (she has already tried to fly) And she had to have the wand to cast spells of course.

Our baby is growing up too fast!

I hope you can see the frog and the mantis in the pics! that is her shadow hovering over th snake. I think I would have dropped the camera and ran if she caught it!

So cute! As a biologist, I can say she's my kind of gal! (And that snake couldn't even bite you hard enough to hurt! Promise!)

Both my kids are like that- always ready for a naturalistic adventure- by the way- your daughter has the most beautiful hair!!! Precious little girl.

Too funny! My dd is obsessed by bugs and such. SHe finds ants, picks them up not so gently, kisses them, and then puts the smashed creature down and wonders why it is not moving. She has moved on to rolly poleys. No snakes as of yet and we are trying to discourage kissing bees and wasps!

Hi Kelli Tati is as beautiful as ever, with her little critters. Sabrina loves little creepy crawlies too. Worms are her favorite. She likes to dig them up, and then take them for rides in her wagon. Then we "release them back to the wild". She also loves frogs and lizards. And every spider we find in our house is Charlotte from Charlotte’s Web. So we have to capture them and gently take them outside. So far no snakes. Not looking forward to that one.
