Hi everyone.
Been really busy with Wade but things are going well except for sleeping issue at night. We are trying to work through it. My question is we had 2 packages from Visa appt. When we went through US immigration they only took 1 of the packages. We have the other. It says not to open but we are wondering if we can open it now that we are home and no one has been asking for it. What do ypu guys think? We did receive letter from Homelan security asking us to provide 2 passport style picture of Wade but nothing else. We haven't submitted any request yet fro COC, etc. Thanks, Gina

I would think you were supposed to turn over both packets. Most people did only have one, but two, especially for longer cases is not unheard of. Who sent the letter asking for the passport pictures? Was in the Buffalo office? It looks like your child came home on an IR3 visa so the COC will be issued automatically. I am thinking they are trying to process his COC and the pictures are in the packet you have. I would contact the office that sent the letter as the first step.

I think immigation was supposed to take both packets from you. With Carolina, we only had one packet. But with Jesse we had two, simply because the stack of papers was too big to fit in one envelope. Immigration took both packets. I think DPline is probably right, in that the pictures they need for the COC are in the packet you have. With an IR3 visa, usually the COC comes automatically afer you have been home for about a month or so; you do not need to apply for one. I would follow the instructions on the letter and try to inquire if that is all they will need to get you the COC.
