Time Frame for Revised COC
I'm about to file the paperwork for a revised COC. Anyone have any idea how long they are taking these days?

I sent mine in about a month ago and got a letter last week saying that I'd get it within 21 days.

I sent mine to buffalo (I think!?) about 2 months ago and have not heard anything since the "confirmation of arrival" type notice.

I just figured you would get better information if you specified Nebraska or Texas.

Nebraska used to run a lot faster turnaround, but it has been ages since I have seen anyone post dates, so hopefully Texas is in high gear by now and will get it to you quickly!

I mailed ours to TX on July 8. About 2 weeks ago, I received our "receipt" that they received our documents but no indication of how long to wait to get the actual revised coc.

Hope its not too long for either of us.

I sent mine to Buffalo in March and the website said 5 months estimated time. You can check the website at USCIS Home Page if you have a receipt number. I checked tonight and it said the documents were sent out yesterday. Right at the 5 month window.

Wow...that stinks! 5 months. We just sent our to Buffalo in July. I was wishing they would take less than 5 months.

The N565 for a revised COC goes to either the Nebraska or Texas Service Center depending on which state you live in. Are you maybe thinking of the G884?

oops sorry, you are right. Was not the g884, was the N565 and it did go to Texas and it did take the 5 months that they estimated!

Dumb question
When filling out the N-565, When it comes to the signature part what did you do?

Part 7 states for the person whom the COC is for to sign

and

Part 8 Signature of person preparing form, if other than above.

Did you sign your child's name in part 7?

I am so done with this paperwork stuff!!!!!!!!!
(Too bad I need to do renewal stuff for adoption #2 also)
