Where to find screw back earings

My DD has lost one of hers. I got that pair in Guatemala. So far what I have found are VERY pricey. Any suggestions. Thanks

Any jewerly store should have them. Maybe a store thats in the mall and does piercings? But if the earrings are good I would buy a good one from the jewelry store.

Have you tried Claire's? DD got her ears pierced there and they aren't screw backs, but they have a locking mechanism and I can't even get them off.

ETA: I checked some older threads and Walmart kept coming up over and over as having them. KMart and Target were also mentioned, but Walmart was the most common one.

Yeah, you can get 14K ones at Target and Walmart for about $35. Online I did a search for child safety earrings and got a number of hits for pearl or cz screw back earrings for $25+.

My daughter is unfortunately allergic to metal. The godsend for us is plastic earings. Yes, plastic - the posts and backs and fronts and everything! Some styles look better than others close up. The bad news is that they don't have screwbacks. But they are totally hypoallergenic and she has no reaction to them at all. I'm just throwing that in this thread in case anyone else has a kid with sensitive ears.

Our daughter has lost two pairs of screwback earrings.... the ones that pop on and off only lasted one night.... so... we went to more of a piercing ring in her ear... I have them in my ears and have never had a problem... She has had them in her ears now about 6 months.... and no more problems... never have to tighten them or anything... and if you want to change the look of them, we can just change out the ball colors... They are surgical steel.... and we have had no problems at all keeping them clean and no infections or anything....

I've attached a pic of what they look like... and you can of course get all colors of the captured ball...

I buy my daughters at Helzberg Jewelry store but it just closed and is only online in my area now. The earings run about $79 a pair but they last a really long time. They are screw on and screw off and they have a blunted back so the pointy end doesn't hurt behind her ear while she is sleeping. The web site is: Diamond Jeweler - Diamond Engagement Rings & More from Helzberg Diamonds - Trusted for Buying Diamonds and Jewelry
just look under "earrings" and go to "children and baby" at the bottom of the drop down box.
Good luck!

We like the Claires locking back earrings. If she does lose one we buy the exact ones again to have a spare.
