Question OT: Knock Knees

Hello all,

Our son is a little over three; very active, runs non-stop and athletic. He is going through a growth spurt right now and has become noticable 'knock knee'd'.

He came home at 7 1/2 months, very healthy and we've had no major health issues to speak of. He is a solid, stockly toddler (35 lbs and 37 inches tall), eats well and drinks lots of milk (more if I let him!).

I'm taking him to the pediatrician on Friday, but as always was interested in input from my from my forum friends.

Thanks!

totally normal for a toddler/preschooler. kids are usually bowlegged when they start walking and gradually move to being knock kneed. totally, totally normal. he'll grow out of it. of course, that's my opinion without looking at him

Our son was noticably bow legged and toed in when he first began walking. We took him to the ped and to an orthepedic dr. Dr. said everything was fine and he would grow out of it. Now, at 3.5 he is noticably knock kneed too. I was wondering if I needed to take him in again or not, but feel relieved by your post and the previous response about it being normal growth and development. I am still curious what your dr. tells you when you go in...let us know.
