Just about ready to get passports for the whole family and I was wondering if anyone knows how the processing times are running these days?

I am curious too, because we sent our applications for the babies about 3 weeks ago and they haven't come yet.

About a year ago processing times were really quick..you didn't need to expedite them to get them within a week to 10 days....but lately I've had a couple of family members pay for expediting the application and it still took 2 weeks??

We just applied for dd passport last week. We were told 4-6 weeks.

in feb I paid the expedited fee & got it in about 5 days, I just sent out to get my DD's name change on her passport, paid the expedited fee again & they said about 2 weeks, hopefully sooner, so I can relax.. I hate having my paperwork out there..

My sister and I both got passports back in May. I paid the expedite fee and got mine in under a week. She did not pay the fee and got hers in about 3 weeks.

I'm still waiting on my renewal. My paperwork and old passport were delivered 4 weeks ago. Since I didn't request expedited service, I have been anticipating 4-6 weeks.

My friend works at one of the passport processing centers and says to plan on 4-6 weeks processing time.

Got home yesterday and my passport was waiting for me, delivered by Priority Mail. The old one wasn't included, but they are supposed to send it back to me. Looks like 4 weeks is pretty accurate for the timeline.

My dd received hers just two weeks ago. It took exactly 6 weeks. Her CoC and birth certificate came 2 days later.

we applied in chicago and got it in a weeks time,just in june.

We just recently did our son's and it took 2 weeks even though we were told 4-6 weeks!! So they are processing them fast!!

just wanted to add that I sent in my DD's passport name change, paid the expedited fee & rec'd it today, the passport agency rec'd it last wed. just the passport came not the papers(the important stuff, )

We just got ours done in June also - not expedited. Took 2 weeks.

We applied at the county clerk's office on July 8. On July 24 we received an e-mail notice that our application had been processed and we should receive it via Priority Mail no later than Aug. 1. Hopefully our other documents will arrive shortly after.
