Hello All!! Sorry it's been so long since my last post but busy doesn't even discribe my life right now. Evangeline is doing great. At 2 1/2, she's a little spit fire and keeps her brothers hopping and me as well. She's a got a vocab like a 4 + year old and can and does get into everything.

Here's a funny event that happened today and is an example why I don't have time to write anymore! Hope you enjoy it.

Today, Liam and Evangeline were playing outside and I heard the dogs barking furiously. Since mayham usually ensues when the younger two are outside with the dogs, I thought nothing of it. Then Liam throws open the door and starts yelling, "Mommy, A ghost, a ghost!!" I was about to launch into a lecture about there was no such thing as a ghost when something black catches the corner of my eye. I had misunderstood what Liam was saying. He was not saying a "Ghost", he was saying "Mommy a GOAT, A GOAT!!" The black thing that caught my eye running through my kitchen was a baby GOAT!! ROFL!

I was able to get the baby goat out of my house and then I understood what the rukus going on outside was. The goat saw the dogs and took off running around my porch, our dogs, who simply have to chase anything that runs, took off after the goat, my children took off after the dogs to try to save the baby goat and I ran after the children fearing they would be traumatize if they saw the dogs kill the goat! As I turn the corner what to my wondering eyes should appear another (insert expletive) baby goat. So now one dog is running after one goat and the other takes after the 2nd. Now I must make a choice much like the movie "Sophie's Choice" which one should I save??!! Fortunately the goats appartently were pets and recognized an adult human as a safe harbor so they ran to me. I threw myself in front of the goats to save their lives. Meanwhile I am screaming at the 2 younger children to go get a treat so that I could lure the dogs into the garage. My children, who against my wishes feed the dogs at least 3 times a day AFTER I have already told them that the dogs have been fed and NOT to feed the dogs, can no longer find the food that is in the same spot that it has been since we have had the dogs. So I must leave the goats to get the food to lure the dogs into the garage. As soon as there safety net moved the (insert expletive) goats decide to run again, which triggers the dogs to run after them, which makes the children run after the dogs.

I now have the food, however, only the stupid dog can be lured into the garage and away from the goats. Which leaves Sadie, my black lab that is at least 70 lbs still outside. I finally get a leash on her and get her calmed. Liam decides that he can hold Sadie and since I wanted to check the goats, I had him the leash. As soon as I walk away from the dog, she takes off, dragging my only 40 lb son behind her. I resued Liam, caught Sadie and examined the goats. At this point in time Canaan who has been in the house through all the screaming and running and drama, comes outside and sees the goats (never mind that the goat came in the house and stood very close to the chair he was in) and says, "Mom did you know that there is a goat here?"

The moral of the story "WHAT HAPPENED TO MY LIFE????!!!!" This is not normal! LOL

PS We found the owner and the goats are safely returned. I wonder what will happen tomorrow.

One day, you will be so glad you got that all on paper right away! Come to think of it, that would make a great kids' book. Better yet if you can turn it into an illustrated rhyme or song. Maybe your kids would enjoy composing it. That ought to keep them out of trouble for a few minutes anyway!

Yes, this a typical day. So much so that when I called to tell family about it, they were just surprised that it wasn't a horse or something bigger.
