Someone can probably do this better than me, but...
"to like" is a reflexive verb (gustar) kind of like "pleases" so you basically are saying "apples please me" and it's me gustan las manzanas rojas (I like the red apples) or me gusta la manzana roja (I like the red apple) it's really more like red apples please me, but that's the basic I like verb. To ask it, it's sort of like "do XX please you?" so it's Te gusta(n) (noun in singular or plural; use gustan if plural). And for he or she liking something it's Le gusta(n) (noun(s)) And for "they" or "y'all" it's Les gusta(n) (noun(s)) "I see" is Veo; not sure on how to ask "do you see".

¿Ves las manzanas rojas? Do you see the red apples?
Veo las manzanas rojas. I see (the) red apples. Las veo. I see them (referring to the apples).
