Ok, here goes. Our son out of the blue one day says, "I got the wrong parents, you are white and I am brown." I explained that parents and kids all come in all shapes and sizes, and that not all mommmies and daddies look like their kids.

However, this morning he was a little wild thing while trying to get ready for church. I got on to him and he was crying and said again that he had the wrong parents. This time I completely think he was just mad and new it would get to us. I told him that it didn't matter if his parents were tan, green, orange, or pink polk a dotted that they would have gotten on to him too.

Later after church he was calm and he was like I have the right parents.

Just curious to see if anyone else has encountered anything like that.

I think it sounds like you handled it wonderfully. If it was me, I might consider going back to him, at a quiet time, and asking him if he wants to talk about anything relating to his family or adoption. I sort of wonder if maybe someone said something to him.....
