Guatemalan Mission Trip
Long lost member....
I am going to Guatemala on a mission trip and I just looked up my daughter's adoption papers and it states that her birth mom is from the exact same place. I don't know how I feel about this. Bella has two older brothers that should be in the same school that we will be visiting....eek! Canta Peru, Retalhuleu

I would see it as an enormous blessing, to be able to hopefully see her siblings and maybe even her bmom. That doesn't mean you have to identify yourself to them. But to see them and meet them--that is something I wish I could do!

I'd say that's destiny! What an incredible opportunity - to meet your dd's birth family! It may not ever come again. I would welcome the opportunity myself.
Wishing you a wonderful mission trip; keep us posted. I hope you are able to meet them and let them know who you are.

I think that you have been sent this opportunity for a reason...it's not just a coincidence. I don't think it matters whether you identify yourself or not, whatever you are comfortable with, but you will be in a place with possibly people that mean a great deal to you...what a blessing!
